EXHIBITION: Mall Galleries, London 5th – 18th March 2018  10:00- 17:00

A painting by Liverpool-based contemporary artist John Elcock has been selected for the 2018 Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize exhibition.

The painting The Hollow Mountain (Mynydd Braich-goch) was completed in 2017 whilst Elcock was artist-in-residence at Stiwdio Maelor, Corris.

The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize was created in 2005 by the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and the Lynn Foundation to encourage the very best creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtsmanship. With prize money of £30,000 the Prize is one of the most prestigious awards to artists in the UK.

Visitors can also choose their favourite painting for the People’s Prize, by visiting the exhibition at The Mall Galleries from 5th – 18th March 2018:
